Some of you may remember this heavenly meal. Do you kind folks know if anyone makes one that is close to this? Or a recipe to replicate it?

Thx

Always heard Chelsea's baked their own focaccia bread in house, which is why it was such a hearty/huge sandwich. I'd imagine if you can make or get some good bread, it wouldn't be too hard to replicate.

Use a blend of cheeses. I like fontina in mine since it is a good melting cheese. And grill the sandwich in butter to get that nice.

Personally, I didn't find their soup to be that great but tomato soup is pretty easy to make and you can tweak it based on whether to like spicy or creamy or whatever. Overpass Merchant does a good tomato soup.

I actually didn't care for their soup at all.

It was all about the bread, duplicate that and you can easily duplicate the dish

RIP Chicken Mojo Poboy... I need the recipe for that so badly. I tried watching him cook it one time at Radio Bar, but it wasn't helpful.

I think it was LSUBoo that suggested that to me when he lived by the Overpass. It was a game changer. Also loved getting a cup of soup and dipping my calamari poboy. RIP is right, it was a weekly lunch stop for our crew.

I’ll never forgive that landlord for making things so hard on Dave.

Landlords are truly the leeches of our society - if a business is successful enough the owner should gain the property rights.

Was just dropping in to rave about the grilled cheese with an added fried chicken breast. So damn good. So many delicious calories.

Chelsea's also had one of the best restaurant week deals in town. That and Doe's were must-hits every time.

The grilled cheese add chicken, bacon and pesto was my go to order every time, unless I opted for the fried calamari poboy. RIP Chelsea's.

And I loved the tomato soup because it was spicy.

I never had the Chelsea’s grilled cheese & tomato soup, so this is not a comparison. But, the grilled cheese w/ bacon onion jam & tomato soup @ P-Beaus in Denham Springs is delicious.

You ain't lying. Awesome food and they were able to pull some pretty good bands, too. The grilled cheese and soup sits in my top three favorite foods of all time, with little chance of it ever dropping off my top 3. When I lived on State St I'd eat one at least once a week. Sometimes more.

I thought I'd heard the new biergarten might serve it? Could just be a wishful rumor.

Man I miss that place. For this meal and so much else. And the live music.
