The best rated value wine from many publications last year was Ghostrider $12.99

I bought it from Elios to try and the people that worked there said it flies off the shelf.....it's better than the $30 bottles of blends I usually buy. Right there with Prisoner IMO.

Excellent wine at an unbelievable value if you can find it.

This. My dad is very much into wine, and this is his go to cheap bottle.

Research has shown in blind tests there is virtually no difference in taste or quality in the vast majority of wines regardless of price point.

Bogle is my favorite and I don't consider it cheap. It is certainly not expensive but it is right in line with what I will pay for an every night wine. Anything above that price point I am not going to have all the time, especially when I tend to think Bogle is better anyway. lol

I don't think $20 and under is "cheap." Most wines are under that price at your grocery store. Under $10, yes.

I'd imagine that doesn't hold true for people that enjoy wine enough to have to be asked more than just "white or red?"

I'd actually like to try a blind taste test.

Ahh, the old talking point that says all wines are the exact same. How anti-elite of you.

yeah but your comment makes no sense in this thread

this thread is about good cheap wines and no one came in to say that all these wines sucked

So now it's an absolute truth. Your rigidity in defending your talking point is telling.

19 Crimes is a pretty decent cab for under $10 a bottle.

Take the hook out of your mouth. This is a classic Ryno troll. He's made threads about it before.

when they get upset, you know you're on to something

people drink alcohol for the high, upping the price is just wanting to feel like you are better. Beer snob=wine snob=need things of worth to feel worthy

I had a cab by Bridlewood the other day that was very good. Not "cheap" but a little under $20.

Liberty School makes an excellent cab that's about the same price as well.

Results seem mixed.

DO MORE EXPENSIVE WINES TASTE BETTER? EVIDENCE FROM A LARGE SAMPLE OF BLIND TASTINGS

An Examination of Judge Reliability at a major U.S. Wine Competition

FTR, I think there is a difference in quality of wines, but that in general a higher price =/= higher quality, and vice versa.
