The manager apologized and gave me my money back and gift card. He offered me free boxes but I told him I did not want them. Apparently I am the 3rd person to come back tonight because their order was messed up. How do you mess up a Canes order? All you serve is chicken strips meals.

Everyone does canes wrong. Hands down best order is the three finger, no toast, no sauce, double extra coleslaw. Always order the three finger combo. The box size is perfect. More on that later. For now, when you get the order, Make sure to keep the lid closed for a couple mins and the plastic bag tied tight to keep the chicken hot and to build up a nice layer of watery steam on the inside of the box. Let the water beads cascade down into the lukewarm half mush fries as you open the box. You cut up the hot and fresh chicken and dump all three of the ice cold coleslaw portions onto the steaming hot chicken. Then mash the fries down into the coleslaw chicken soup and use the fork they give you to pick out the drippy bits of cabbage and chicken. At the end you’re left with a nice creamy potato and carrot soup you can angle the box correctly after a few meals and just pour it straight down your throat. It’s refreshing. You can’t get the box combo because the angle of the box isn’t same as the three finger for the final pour. Trust me

Jokes about the tender size aside, any employee with a room temperature IQ would be able to tell the box was too light when they picked it up.
