Can we talk about Chug Videos?

Is there anything more pathetic than a fat middle-aged man posting a chug video?
Make no mistake, I’m a fat, middle aged man who enjoys his beer, but these videos are truly depressing.
The ones today are even sadder where they chug one for those who gave their lives for our freedom.
Just stop this people. Nobody wants to hear your pathetic toast or watch you slide a whole beer down your turkey necked gullet and then belch. I’m sorry you’re not in college anymore.

I've never understood it, I hope it's just being silly. More seriously, though, there are some people that are chronic chuggers and I'm concerned that their behavior is indicative of a deeper problem. Craft beer is already a hobby that some could easily mistake for alcoholism, or maybe even some could argue that for some people it's a hobby that feeds alcoholism.. throw in chugging and I feel like you're just making it worse.
I've tried. Didn't go over well. I'm sure this won't either.

Im not even sure what that sign is supposed to mean. All Americans are worth fighting for.
IDK, guess I have seen the line being posted by too many people this year as some sort of gotcha statement.

If people want to chug, let them chug. I'm in the Church also and I enjoy watching them and have even posted a few of myself doing it. No need to care about what others do with their beers.
