Can someone please tell me why Popeyes cant have quicker service?

All of them, but the one in question is Burbank @ Bluebonnet.

They can. Chicken does take longer to cook, but there are well run popeyes out there. Just not many of them. Comes down to management. You have to have competent managers and they need to hire and train competent employees. This doesn't happen at popeyes.

Been over a year since my last visit and the manager and an employee were fighting over available chicken. Literally posting up to get position to grab the next batch of chicken. Yelling and screaming.

Even a crappy manager would have fired the employee on the spot.

Must be a Louisiana thing because I've never had a problem at Popeyes here in Charleston or when I was in Fayetteville. Order is always correct and I've never had to wait to long.

This is the one by my house. If I do decide I want Popeyes for dinner I always have a back-up plan because I will not get in the line if there are more than 2 cars waiting to order. I have sat in that line for 30 minutes before. Their customer service is just horrible anyway, they just throw the food at you and don't even say hello or thank you or ask how you are doing, not even when you try and initiate it. That's what happens when you set up a fast food joint within walking distance of Gardere. They hire all of those people who can walk to work or hitch an easy ride.

I went to the one on Sherwood the other day and had the hell surprised out of me. Very good, polite service. I wonder if they went under new mgmt or maybe that drive thru girl just cared about her job.

It's a regional problem. Customer service sucks around br.

I spent a few weeks in Shreveport/Bossier a tear or so ago. The service at the Popeyes up there was on par with Chic fil a. Really.

because if they keep cooking chicken so the rack is full, at some point they will have $60 worth of chicken on the rack and no customers left in line.

I and everyone else wish they would to but the plain truth is to cut and keep costs down they only cook chicken "as needed for what is ordered", what I mean by that is they only cook 10-12 more pieces then they have orders for, and when they run out, it takes 20 minutes from hitting the grease to cook more, so every 8-10 cars, they stop and have that 20 minute wait, and by then, its almost certain the last guy in line will have to wait 20 more minutes for his if more then one person gets a box of chicken instead of a 2-3 piece meal order.

its the same everywhere and even at churches chicken too.
