I'm assuming this is the same New Orleans Camellia Grill? Any idea when they'll open and if it'll be the same style with the "seated counter"?

Camellia Grill.. Come on Down!!

Yeah it is the same one as N.O.

When it was announced a few months ago I said there was no way this place is going to make it in that development.
Just seems like too expensive real estate to be making money on selling average breakfast food, burgers, ets.

I;m sure they will jack up the prices a bit.

the most puzzling part is why they are putting a Johnny Rockets right near Camelia Grill. At least that was posted on this board a while back.

Camelia Grill = average
Johnny Rockets = terrible, but great to see a high school want to kill himself for having to dance to stupid jukebox tunes every hour.

fwiw: I took Rupert Murdoch's daughter, Elisabeth and her best friend Nila from NYC to the Carrollton St. location and we had the Southwest omelet. Their comments to the staff was that it was the best omelet they've ever had... and I'm sure they've seen their fair share of eggs..

Did you put it in her butt?

I'm sure it will do okay in BR... Johnny Rocket's... ugh. I'm not in high school anymore.

I am sure it will, but "fine" doesn't begin to describe how great the one in the Riverbend is...word.

I am glad BR is getting another food option though.

This would be a perfect spot for someone to open up their own diner instead or trying to capture the feel of some other city's restaurant.

then they must be very nice, or just not very food savvy. i know plenty of extremely wealthy people that don't know jack about food.

It's average to good, but the building, staff, and atmoshpere are excellent. Eat that exact food somewhere else and it won't blow you away.

and another question.

will Camelia Grill-BR have a carpool from NOLA to BR each day for the staff? If some little turd that lives in Bocage who just graduated from Catholic or U-High serves me a milkshake when i go in i just might puke.

Yea you're probably right.. I'm sure someone who's considered one of the most powerful women in the world runs her mouth gratuitously about things she has no knowledge of.

well, if this is any indication.....or maybe she just doesn't eat omelettes very often. Just b.c you are from an amazingly wealthy family doesn't mean that you know everything about everything.

I'm using it as an example of someone, completely unbiased, that has exposure to a large variety and range of experiences to pull from.. She and I for that matter, know an omelet from chateaubriand. And I was just trying to compliment an institution, not start a diatribe from the minions.
