Do you like Vietnamese Food? Can you list your top 5 Vietnamese Restaurants?
I have been reading a lot of your posts on food the last few days and I’m impressed and value your opinion.

Friend,
You are too kind. I do like Vietnamese food, but not as much as many people here do. I am not a big pho eater. I do not particularly enjoy the smell of it nor the flavors. As for my favorite Vietnamese restaurants, I assume you only want me to include those in New Orleans. The best Vietnamese meals I have had were in Washington DC.
TulaneLSU's Top 10 Vietnamese restaurants of New Orleans:
10. Dong Phuong (mostly due to respect for what the restaurant represents historically)
9. Namese
8. Frosty's Cafe
7. Ba Mien
6. Pho Orchard
5. Pho Bang
4. Pho Tau Bay
3. Kim Anh's Noodle House
2. 9 Roses
1. Cafe Minh
I frequent my #2-4 restaurants much less since the Canal Street Ferry stopped allowing cars on it several years ago. I know #3 and #4 have since moved to more hospitable locations, but I have not tried them lately. Again, I am not a frequenter of Vietnamese restaurants. But I do know that the many places that have opened Uptown and in the Garden District in the last ten years are not nearly as good as locals think they are.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

Is this the type of trash you search for on Porn-hub?
It's the eve of Christmas Eve.

What does this mean?? I grew up 2 minutes from here, so I’m curious for your perspective

Friend,
The food in the restaurant does not merit a top ten spot, but the bakery and restaurant's role in bringing the Vietnamese community in the East into the sphere of New Orleans culture, forever altering it for the better, is meritorious of a top ten spot. I have in recent years come to really enjoy the king cakes there.

No, it was purged cause mother’s account wasn’t certified. Lighten up, Francis.

Dong Phoung a solid #1 for me...all the others are solid places but Dong Phoung is best. Now, they do piss me off when they don't want to make Banh Xeo, I think they even took it off the menu last time I went.

I have a lot of friends that eat there on the weekends, and I’ve never understood why. The food is just okay, maybe even below average. Bakery is best in the city. The banh baos and the pate chaud are outta this world.
