Haven't been there in a long time and I am wondering how they are lately. They used to have an awesome pastrami sandwich.
Anybody been there recently?

Avoid. Its nowhere near the quality it exhibited pre-K.

I went about a month ago. Nothing at all worth any hype. Go across the street to Napoleon House. They have some good sandwiches and great atmosphere.

You got to go to the masparos off of Chartres. That is the better one and much cheaper

Original Pierre masperos
440 Chartres st

Used to be one of my favorite places growing up. Garbage since being acquired by Creole Cuisine

Thanks all! I kinda figure all what was said but hadn't been in a very long time. It's a shame because it was a good place at one time.

Food is garbage now but they used to serve little $1 strawberry daiquiris that were my go to first drink when going down that way. They were the perfect thing on a hot day. The machine broke last year and the management decided not to fix it. Damn the fools.

I've probably eaten more actual meals there than any other place in the quarter but its been at least a few years since I've been there. Also my friends and I had a tradition of heading to the quarter after the classic, eating a big lunch there, then drinking 3 for 1's on bourbon till we were ready to pass out by 6 or 7.

However I saw someone posted that it is now run by Creole Cuisine so sure it probably not good anymore and don't plan on going back.
