Will be hosting a business meeting for two guest in Baton Rouge in February. Looking for some recs for steaks/seafood. Fun restaurant that we can have good discussions. TIA

If they are not from the area take them to Chimes on campus.

Salt grass has steaks and some seafood. If you don’t mind going to Gonzales, Sno’s is excellent.

you want a private room or do you plan on having the meeting in the middle of the restaurant. There are quite a few places to go if you just want dinner and drinks over business talk. But if you want privacy, you may want to be more discerning.

Great suggestion on Snos. Thoughts on Mansurs?

Mike Andersons is still solid for seafood. I don't think you'd go wrong with Parrains, Dragos, or Stabs for steaks and seafood as well.

Did this thread start on the OT or something?

Mansur's is very good. Their sister restaurant, French Market Bistro, is also great but probably the opposite side of town from where you are staying.
Our Ruth's is locally owned and operated, and really solid, albeit hard to get into last minute and possibly more than you're looking to spend.
Stab's is good steak and seafood. Rouj Creole is fun and has a pretty unique menu. Bin 77 has very solid food - it can get packed though and live music affects that if you're going on a night they do that.

Great suggestion on Snos.
Don't do this. Sno's may be fine (no idea), but there's no reason to leave the city when we have plenty of solid places you can go. If the clients are local, they're not going to want to drive out of town unless they happen to live in that town. If they're not local, they surely won't want to Uber $30+ away.

Was wondering the same thing. Weird replies.

First class:
Mansur’s
Juban’s
Ruth’s
French Market Bistro (not sure if this category or the lower category)
Slightly less first class:
Lagniappe
Gino’s
Ruffino’s
Rouj Creole
To consider Snos a top restaurant is laughable. The Stabiler restaurant groups are nice places but I’ve never enjoyed the food (Stab’s, Little Village, Palermo).

I went with Mansurs. Thanks for the suggestions

Gino’s was the place to take clients from the NE when they came to LA so long as you also included Mike Andersons.

Can't go wrong with Mansur's. Really good steaks, and they always have great fresh gulf fish options.

Throw in Louisiana Laniappe and you can't make a bad choice
