So . . . guess I won't be dropping the top on the Beemer and grabbing a burger from there today.

I like all sizes and most toppings. My main thing is the density of the patty. I like it loosely formed and about to fall apart. If I want it as dense as a steak, why grind the meat to begin with.

My favorite would probably be a classic cheddar burger with about 1/3 lb of ground beef loosely formed on a fresh lightly toasted or grilled bun. Add some cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, mayo, and a little ketchup (I like mustard, but not with mayo). When I'm feeling friskie, maybe saute some onions and mushrooms and add jalepenos, blue cheese, and mayo. I also love a good mushroom swiss burger with gravy.

If I'm making it myself, I have a weird pet peeve where the mayo and tomato must be together. Those two toppings just go well together with a ton of black pepper.

I went from Lafayette, LA to Goodland, KS the first day. And didn't spend a minute driving in the dark.

Pretty laid back day to get to WY from there. About 2.5 hours to Denver. Then maybe 4 hours after that.

I reset the computer when I left Louisiana. Took this picture when I got to Wyoming.

It was closer to about 84 MPH before I did some city driving in Denver that brought me down.

I think you have a better array of dining options than I do. I wouldn't complain. I do enjoy the cooler weather though.

If you are anywhere near downtown, Id go to Yo Mama's which is what Port o Call wishes it could be when it grows up.

Only burgers I've had in the city are Lakeview Harbor, Mondo, and Port of Call. And probably Camelia grill a long time ago.

They're all pretty solid. But hey, you've been living there longer than me; you shouldn't be asking me for advice

It's a hot pickled relish. Think Sauer Kraut.

I know. I'm just trying to get some new ideas.

Hey, when you're back in town, go to the Bouligny Tavern and get their little sirloin burger with pomme frites or onion rings. You'll thank me for it.

I'll hit that up eventually...but after how ever long it is that I'm here I might be going for something a little more ridiculous than a burger when I get back.

Or maybe my time here will transform me into a non foodie and I'll become cheap. Either way it's a win
