Boiled shrimp fridge life

I'm boiling shrimp tomorrow, when I put them in the fridge are they going to be good until Friday?

Sunday-Friday? Maybe, but that’s a long time for seafood. 3 days is my rule of thumb for seafood.

Maybe. At 5 days they will be bordering on getting funky.

No. I’d eat no later than Wednesday if boiling on Sunday.

Boiled shrimp doesn't last long in my fridge. Somebody is going to chow down on it

One of my favorite things to do on beach vacations is on day 1 boil up a whole bunch of local shrimp and store them in zip locks in the fridge and snack on them all week long. I don't know if they ever made it 7 days though, usually only last a few days.

Ok, I'll boil Monday.
When I eat them on Friday, I'll check in to see if I lived.

M-F is still a fairly long time to let any seafood sit in the fridge.
You’ll probably be ok.
Until you’re not.
I’ve pushed cooked turkey from holidays 5 days, but I knew there were risks involved, and I was the only one who ate it. Same with any other leftovers.

I'll assume by tomorrow you mean Sunday. If so, I think the shrimp will start developing a bit of a slimy feel sometime soon after Wednesday and food poisoning is not worth any amount of money in my book.
I had it once from eating some sketchy oysters late one night and NEVER want a repeat of that situation.

3-4 days is the rule of thumb. I’d prefer 3 days with shrimp.

Like many have said, 5 days in the fridge for shrimp is too much. Many times I have vacuum sealed boiled shrimp in 1-2 lb bags and froze them to take out later for shrimp cocktail. Defrosts quickly and works well.

Why don't you just boil them on Friday? It takes approximately 1 minute.

Well the good thing about seafood, and shrimp in particular, is that it will let you know when it has passed. You'll notice by sight and smell pretty easily. As to whether your shrimp will last 5 days, properly refrigerated before they take a turn for the worst, probably. But even then you'll be eating 5 day old mushy shrimp.

I would like to give you 5lbs of shrimp, a pot and a water source and see how long it really takes you to boil proper shrimp.

Wife and I routinely boil shrimp at the beach, and like the other poster, do enough to have for shrimp salad for several days, so we normally do about 3.5lbs. From the moment we pull a pot out to pour water into to the moment we pull them out of the pot finished is, maybe, 20 minutes, with 15 of those minutes being just waiting for the water to come to a boil. Obviously not the one minute of the previous poster being facetious, but boiled shrimp is extremely fast to prepare from start to finish.

If you are insinuating your shrimp are only spending a couple of minutes total in the pot then you're turning out some bland, rubbery arse shrimp. It's science

Not a couple, but just a few. Five or less. Bring water to boil, throw in shrimp, bring back to boil, cut heat and let soak for a few minutes, pull. Now, to clarify, this is for headless shrimp. We haven't boiled full head on in years now.
But with that said, no, not bland or rubbery at all

I’ve always boiled shrimp until just when they change color and turn pink.
Pull them, usually shock in ice water. Never rubbery or bland.
