Need your best recipe. Just picked up a sack of jumbo green peanuts fresh out of the ground this morning. C'mon with it! Thanks

I just did some. I buy the 5 oz La Fish Fry Crab and Shrimp boil seasoning. I just 2 oz of table salt to 3 LBS of Green Peanuts.

I boil for about 3 hours and then let soak to taste.

I was never a fan of the "Cajun" boiled peanuts, but there is a lot of salt in the LA Fish Fry Crab boil so that it doesn't over power it with the "Spice".

I find them perfect

My neighbor has always done them in a pressure cooker for one hour with salt. The big ones he called goobers.

I can do 2-3 lbs inside and just use salt. Keep adding water and boil for 2.5 hours. Add crab boil and go another 30 minutes. Keeps the house from smelling too bad and adds great flavor.

Anyone ever done in a crockpot? I have seen some recipes for 24hours on low.

Boil em, with lots of salt, until they are tender...then soak until salty enough for you.

I tried that a few years ago and will never go back. I had a side burner on my grill and used the pressure cooker on that. Now I have to do them inside because I replaced it with a Weber Kettle. Really cuts down on the cooking time and they get to soak in there until the pressure drops. Takes about another 20-30 minutes for them to cool off enough to eat if I leave them in the pot.

I like the smaller peanuts better than the jumbos.

I get a sack of flo-runners from Al or Ga and use them instead. The hulls are not near as thick and the flavor gets in the nuts better.

Mine turned out great. I had a ton of them and had to make 2 batches. My wife was tired of the dirt smell in our pantry and suggested I boil them and take them to this thing I was going to Friday night.

I've boiled 4 lbs at a time the last 2 weekends in the pressure cooker. 35 minutes under pressure is perfect. Takes about 20 min for them to cool down. 1/3 cup salt, pinch of crab boil, and a few juniper berries and coriander seed. I might be addicted.

My go to recipe. 10 lbs. green peanuts. 1 lb. shrimp/grab boil seasoning. 1lb salt. bring to boil then simmer for 3 hrs. turn off heat and let soak overnight. Next morning crank up fire and simmer for 30 mins. or until texture to your liking, turn off and soak until ready to go. Pack peanuts into cooler and you have warm peanuts all day.
I do this on Friday evening and take them to tailgate with on Saturday. I do this every Friday and freeze whatever I have leftover. They will last at least a year.
