I had it and while it was good, it was nowhere near as good as the Ben n' Jerry's version.

I wish Blue Bell's ice cream was a bit creamier and not so hard to scoop

So damn good. I got a 1/2 gallon last night... wow is all I can say. Perfect mix of creamy tasting ice cream with oatmeal "Pie" pieces. Very consistent flavor and texture from first bite to last.

Finally found some at Rouses on Burbank. Holy hell this is some good stuff! Plenty of chunks in there. Love the cinnamon. Glad I bought 2. I hope this stays around for a while.

In East Tennessee, Aldi's price for a limited assortment of Blue Bell is $7.

I get what you’re saying. But I don’t mind the struggle of scooping blue bell bc after it sits in the bowl for a minute or two it becomes the perfect consistency that I love about ice cream.

The real creamy ice cream becomes too soft after a few minutes in the bowl.

I completely agree with this. You have to be patient. I buy the pints and let it sit out on the counter top for a few minutes before eating. I don’t enjoy it fresh out of the freezer. The best part is always around the edge of the container that my hand has been warming and slightly melting.

Crushed it again. Last person in my household tried it for the first time. They said meh and I said victory for me!

I think it's ok. To me it's more like a gingersnap ice cream than oatmeal pie.

Christ I bought this and regret it. I love it so much I am trying to justify having it for a meal.
Aggy is aggy but they make good ice cream.

I got a pint for the four of us to share. When it ran out, my wife said ‘put it on the list’, so I told her we didn’t need anymore of that delicious sinfulness in the house, and DEFINITELY not a whole half gallon.

I cant remember the last time something lived up to the hype like this. My whole house went bonkers for it. My wife really doesn't even like ice cream that much and she loved this stuff. Big score for Blue Bell, they're bound to make it a permanent flavor.

it’s very good but way too sweet.
if they’d cut down on the sugar in the ice cream base by half it would be perfect

I tried it & agree it’s a bit too sweet for me but still very good
I love the cinnamon / spice flavor
Due to the sweetness I have to say I like the Butter Crunch better but both are really good

agreed, that is a nice addition. the flavor of the ice cream is very good, just sweet.

maybe one of the FDB culinarians here could try to make this at home? a half-sweet high fat vanilla base with cinnamon and crushed little debbie oatmeal pies?

Butter Crunch and Cookies and Cream are my go to flavors, but I think Oatmeal Cream Pie has made the rotation.

Good stuff. I wish i didn't care about my weight, I could easily finish that half gallon in a few days.
