Why do they hate all the black employees at Rouses and Breaux Mart though?

Right now, Breaux Mart and Rouses are two grocery store businesses that are supported or owned by people who move in the same circles as white supremacists.

shopping at ames food mart would be downright dangerous

I have shopped at George's Produce before. I don't need to be sympathetic racially to do so. It's a really good market. The owner is a great guy. Have met him several times through carnival functions. I would encourage people to check it out.

I just left the Rouses on Carrollton Ave. and I've not seen a big exodus of black employees, so they can't be that bad to work for, regardless of their political affiliation.

Actually, I'd say that store has a black to white ratio of employment around 75/25.

As far as I know Donnie Sr has very little to do with the store other than name at this point. Was pretty sure his kids run it now.

You pick where to buy food at based on the stores owners race? How racist can you be?

Why would I need an alternative to Rouse's?

Hopefully you’re not a bigot and will shop at the stores belonging to POC

I'm not a bigot in the least. I don't shop at any store based on the skin color of the owners.

The biggest issue I can see with the parking lot is the amount of people that think it is OK to not only stop to drop off customers at the front door, but just sit there until they are done shopping like they have their own personal parking space.

Then there's the Endymion crowd that likes to park campers and such in their lot starting a few days before the parade even marches. I don't even head in that direction when Endymion Saturday rolls around.

I mainly use the Rouses on Carrollton, but I will also hit the Winn-Dixie across the street for things that Rouses doesn't have, or if they have a better price.

I also buy lots of bulk and other foods from Costco.
