Don't go to Rayne.

Sincerely,
Someone from Rayne

Rochettos is about as best you'll get for Scott, you can grab a table or sit at the bar, there's TVs spread out all around. Their food is pretty good too.

Billy's. Boudin rolls. Or whatever they call them. You'll know when you get there.

Unlike the poster above, I think the one stuffed with pepper jack is delish.

Great boudin doesn't need cheese fricking it up. Just my 2 cents.

I sometimes grab a pepper jack roll or pepper jack boudin ball with my link of smoked.

If I'm eating a link of boudin, I like the change of pace with the cheese-stuffed products. Don't see where that's so horrific. It isn't Cheez Wiz or something. It's pepper jack, which is a relatively mild cheese as far as the "cheesiness" factor goes.. mostly just pepper flavored

They just offer things others don't. Their regular boudin and smoked are excellent. Nothing wrong with bringing new stuff to the party. I'm old school NOLA, but sometimes things need to be shaken up. Boring is boring. I just want to head to El Tapatio soon. Best Tex/Mex I have had in LA.

The parking lit is SUPPOSED to get a make over this winter.

As a resident of Scott, and a boudin lover, I personally like the boudin at Best stop better. It has a better meat/veggie/rice ratio than Billy's IMO.

Best stop has also started making pepper jack boudin balls and is using shredded cheese instead of the cheese block in the center like Billy's, and it uses Best stop boudin. Last, the line at BS is WAAAY shorter. Billy's is capitalizing on that location, and yes is basically printing money.

I can't get into Best stops boudin balls.. They always seem saturated with grease.

I really don't eat boudin balls at all anymore. When we moved to Scott 4 years ago, everyone brought over boudin, cracklings, and boudin balls. I can't eat cracklins or boudin balls anymore. Someone left a bag of them on my counter, and in the morning there was a pool of grease, I almost puked.

Billy's does have better cracklins than BS for sure.

Sorry for the hijack bit does anyone know of a good place to watch the LSU game this Saturday in Scott or Rayne?

Do you have to stay in that area? I would drive into Lafayette, but if you are stuck out there, there is a place in Judice called Teak's. It's got TVs, cold beer, and decent food. It's family friendly. That's about all we've got. I am praying for a new sports bar when they open up that shopping center on the northside of the interstate.

I guess it's the coonass in me but I never get tired of boudin & cracklins. I grew up eating them for breakfast at my grandparents on weekends I still say it's breakfast of champions. With a glass of coffee milk of course.
