I doubt many of those will bring anything you can't find turding away on local shelves, honestly. New Belgium is typically pretty good about bringing fruited variants of Felix and Oscar, their sour base beers, however -- some of those are really good. Were I going I'd probably be crossing my fingers that Boulevard, Deschutes, and Firestone Walker would bring some of their more limited stuff. Worst case scenario, just pound fresh Double Jack and Wookey Jack. Those are always a treat.

What are chances Founders brings KBS? Haven't had that yet.

Probably not bad, actually. Probably better odds of that than hoping Firestone Walker brings Parabola.

ETA: Especially if there are "VIP" tickets with a special area cordoned off for those individuals that purchased that. I know we've had beer festivals here where BCBS was available for VIP ticket holders.

Will it be available for purchase or are these types of festivals kegs/sampling only? I've only been to a handful of beer fests.

I agree with Yeezy. Beer Festivals are a rip off. Your money would be better spent going to pubs and drinking these beers. There likely will not be anything at these festivals that you can't normally find.

Agreed. I would much rather find a Founders tap takeover somewhere than attend one of these beer festivals.

Some of them are really good and you can tell the brewers are bringing their best stuff. Others are pretty bad, and the brewers may be there, but they are just bringing their standard lineup.

I've heard tell from different people that the Deep Ellum guys are assholes......but I think their beer is average except for their IPA. Good news is they are going back to the original recipe for Dreamcrusher DIPA. My memory of the old Dreamcrusher being world class is hopefully not a dreamcrusher.

It was very good Zapp but the hype quickly went away after they changed it.. I haven't bought anything else from them except their chocolate cherry double brown stout.

Crosscut has gone downhill the last 3 years or so.

Their line of pale ales and ipas is all I will usually drink too, but I really like them. I never tried the original dreamcrusher, but the new recipe isn't very good

How is this? Saw something posted on social media about it this morning and was interested in trying it.

I bartend at Pinthouse Pizza and our brewers are cranking out some FANTASTIC beers. It makes me smile to see us on that list.

You are more than welcome to join. I didn't think about inviting folks that would have to drive 3 or 4 hours one way to get here. Would love to have you if you are up for the drive.
