Those of you with BGE tables, how do you remove the ash without getting it all over the table or elsewhere?

Throwaway Aluminum pan. Is your vent not accessible or something?

I put a cheap 10 inch pizza pan (a couple of bucks a Walmarks) under the lower vent and scrape my ash onto it with the ash tool. I throw the ashes onto bases of the shrubbery. They seem to like it.

My BGE is in a nest right now. Thinking of having a table built with a bottom shelf. The ones I see online don't have any way to put a pan of any kind under the vent because the shelf is there except one that I saw which had a carved out square and drawer under that opening for scraping the ash into and then dumping.

I can catch most of it with a dust pan. I just blow what makes it to the table off with the blower

Me too on the Shop Vac. You can buy a car detailing attachments kit with a little wand/crevice tool that fits inside the bottom vent.

Shop vac works best for me. If I need to remove a little ash occasionally I use a shallow aluminum pan and toss it. Mine is elevated off the shelf on feet though so there's a little clearance.

Another vote for the shop vac. Give it one good cleaning monthly.
