Good news here. VOR- you don't need to bike it out to Old Jefferson any longer. I'm curious what kind of items they would consider adding to the menu...

In the fall, LeBlanc will expand his audience with a second Bevi Seafood location in Mid-City. LeBlanc bought the Cajun Brothers seafood market, on the corner of Carrollton Avenue and Bienville Street. For many years, Kjean Seafood was located at that corner.

The menu, however, might expand a bit, since LeBlanc will have more space to work in Mid-City.
"My kitchen at the (original) little Bevi is smaller than the kitchen at my house," LeBlanc said.
The Mid-City Bevi Seafood will open in late September or early October.

He will get a bit more adventurous with the po-boys and specials to better fit the neighborhood.

Good for them. I'll be glad to go and have it less crowded.

Subtle dig at Metairie or Midcity? I think a lot of Midcity patrons expect and want adventurous poboys in addition to standard seafood shop fare. Metairie may want that too, but his kitchen was not big enough to really play around and his initial customer base came from River Pond patrons.
Wasn't meant as a dig.

I don't think people want adventurous po boys. They want the classics done well.
He already has a few different variations of the classics that he does very well. Place would do well even with those

I did not mean adventurous in place of the classics. I meant in addition to them. I think he will keep his current menu and then add some poboys/specials that are a bit less traditional because it's fun to get creative.

Hope he brings the turtle soup back.
Great news for Justin and his family. Excited about this development. Will make answering question, "Where to get boiled seafood in New Orleans?" much easier

Just tell him to not let the original fizzle. Thanks.

I want a nice meatball or Italian sausage po-boy option.
