The owner giving my friends and I free shots the morning he got out of jail for a DUI might have helped as well

I'll be a contrarian, and vote for the Lobster Roll, although they each have their place, the Lobster Roll's being somewhat more limited in circumstance.

I don't get some of the hate for them here though.

Lobster poboy from Fat Boy Pantry is legit. It's like $25 though

I share your affinity for seafood and BBQ, but when did a shrimp, or catfish, or oyster po-boy become non seafood?

Yes sir. I love seafood and barbecued meat, but if I have to make the choice, I'm going with the land food.

Now- when did I say that all that wasn't seafood?

It's one thing to answer the OP's question. After all, we're talking food.

But when you make comments like the above, you comment more on yourself than on po-boys

Sorry man, I understand the domain I'm posting on and it's not a comment meant to troll the board. If that was my intent I would write "po'boys suck." Which isn't true, they don't suck, I think they're alright myself. But I do believe they are vastly overrated.

The majority of the comments on here are knee-jerk in the defense of one of Louisiana's signature creations.

The one lobster roll Ive eaten was beyond overrated. I had my hopes up and was very let down.

I hear ya. Too much butter can ruin the thing. It's not hard for it to turn in to a bunch of grease. Up North they try to douse shite in butter to hide the lack of flavor and spice.

If this is the kind of po-boy you are eating, no wonder you chose Lobster Roll. I wouldn't choose one of your out of date fridge po-boys either.

I laughed pretty hard at this.

Po'boys are appropriate if you need to clean out your fridge and make something quick and easy.

Oh my. Where are you from?
