It always amazes me that wing specialty places are usually the worst.

I've noticed this, too. Usually bars or pizza places have the best wings, IMO.

I remember the wings at Red Zepplin were pretty good. Really enjoyed the flavor but they came out slightly gummy.

I am a die hard Hooters fanboy and I dont care what anybody else thinks. Their sauces are great, especially Daytona.

Wings and More off Government have also been great. Chow Yum Phat also had some great Asian inspired wings.

Their wings are gummy. You can get them Paul style and they will cook them a little longer for slightly more crisp

I love the Daytona but their buffalo flavors don't taste like Buffalo sauce at all to me

Because you are drinking at happy hour, usually.

My favorite, 20 years ago, were at the Wings n Things on Westheimer at Fountainview in Houston. Not other Wings n Things locations, just that one. 10 hot, 10 gold fever (I was 20 years younger).

Someone told me one of the BBQ places in BR has good wings. I don't remember which one.

I am not a die hard, but I do believe that Hooters has very good wings. I don't do any special sauces. I like them medium, breaded, with ranch. For what I am looking for, it fits the bill.

I will say that Roux 61 (Asian glaze) and Pho Viet (Vietnamese style) offer "non-traditional" wings and are my favorite in town.

I have a new nomination I had forgetten about: the Vietnamese wings at BAO. Perfectly fried crispy and the sauce is killer.

I have tried to go to Digiulio Brother twice and both times there were 2 hours+ waits.

Probably a dumb question but is this related to the Nooley’s that was in Central in the 90s?

Used to love that place as a youngin

Ivars used to have great wings. Wasn’t sure they still sold food. Last two times I was there on a Thursday evening not one person eating.

I've never had one in BR, but the Fiery Crab in Gonzales has amazing wings. Surprisingly good.

Pluckers spicy ranch or gold rush

They are a little pricier, but they always give you big wings

I can’t understand why someone would downvote this.

they just used Frank's. They really made me made when they stopped making their chili and took the Porter Fries off the menu.

I agree with chimes. Get them with the sauce on the side and dip.
