Going to be in DFW area for a few days later this month. Gonna hit a Rangers game to enjoy some freedom but really interested in what y’all think is the best steakhouse in the metro area? Thank you!

You'll get some other names but I'm partial to Nick & Sam's. Consistently excellent.

This way you'll get a variety of suggestions. Former Dallasite for 25 years.

Doubt it's the best, but Pappas Bros is pretty solid.

Put me down for Nick and Sam's as well.

Bob's Steak and Chop House is pretty cool. 2 completely different atmospheres though.

I did not have a great experience at Nick & Sams with the bill being essentially half of what it was because comp'd.

I think Knife and Bob's (original on Lemmon) top the list for me.

Del Friscos Double Eagle (Dallas/Ft Worth) or Lonesome Dove Ft Worth are both solid choices

Good food. Kind of a weird place. It's like it doubles as an art gallery? I think I saw some pieces for sale at another steakhouse before, but last time I went to N&S there was a ton of art for sale.

Also, the hostesses were all decked out in their LBDs so that was a plus.

Nick & Sam’s is solid, but my favorite is Al Biernats or Bob’s.

Truluck’s is also a great spot, but more known for their seafood. They do have steaks on the menu though.

What's the name of the place with the big fat pork chop everyone seems to go crazy over?

I went to Nick and Sam's a couple weeks ago on a Thursday. We sat in the bar area for a 10:00PM res. It was like a club in there. It was dark as shite and they were blaring music. Everything was delicious, but I want to go back for a more sit down dinner atmosphere soon.

Chain or not, this place represents one of the best places I have ever had a steak.

Also, if one can get away from ordering the pork chop at Perry's, they do a very good steak.

Lastly, Knife does a good job as well.

Been to Perry's and Nick and Sam's.

Perry's was good (i got the massive porkchop)

Nick and Sam's is great. Its flashy and waitresses are something to look at as well. Got the Dirk last time i was there. Its a Chateau Brion thats been dry aged for like 41 or something like that oh and its 41 ounces. Quite impressive. And the showing of the steaks is quite impressive as well before you order. But ive heard there are "better" places if you just want good meat.

Another place we hit up quite a few times that had some good steaks was The Ranch. its not overally fancy or anything but still pretty good.

Lonesome Dove at the stockyards. Best food I’ve ever had anywhere.
