Vestal is pretty good, but it is so loud.

I’ve heard that, but that’s not what has kept us away. In fact, we like a lively place with good food.

Cafe Josephine..Ribeye Cap. The Steamboat is way overpriced and highly overrated.

Bruh...you got that totally backwards....That ribeye cap (while good) at Josephines will run you $65-75+....

The Steamboat is not necessarily a place I'd go for steaks, but it is easily the best restaurant in St. Landry Parish....and it aint even close.

no way would I say that steamboat is better than cafe josephine. steamboat is more a competitor to little big cup and soileaus.

If its just 2 of you get the counter seating. its right in front of the main cooking area and its cool to watch the guys working. I have been 3 times now and I have never had an issue with the noise.

How is that place these days? Their fried shrimp and stuffed shrimp were always top notch in my book.

It’s probably been a good 15 year since last I’ve eaten there.

still the same, as nothing has changed .... stuffed shrimp are on point.
Soileau's has the best tartar sauce I've ever tasted. You can buy it in quart size plastic containers.

Not a fancy place, but definitely my favorite in Lafayette. Aristos is MAGA AF, just FYI !

Best fried chicken around. Although it is pricey. And it could be seasoned better to make it more spicy.

Steamboat is so far below Josephine and little big cup, they aren’t even comparable.
