Tbh, there are too many good restaurants there to waste a meal on a steak.

While I do agree, they do offer a few different high end steak house options we don't have around here. If you're a fan of the dry aged style they do in the North East, David Burke's is a good choice. It's not for me though.

Chop House is great. Mortons not so much. City Grille is one of my favorite places in Chi town. Whatever you do, stay away from the stupid pizza.

so many great choices in Chicago. ask 10 people you will get 10 different answers. i know people who like certain ones for the wine list, other for the sides, the ambiance, etc.

Those 3 are more "Chicago" feel to them, but if you want more trendy and dont give a F who is paying, then RPM Steak is pretty damn good, but it will also draw more of a snobby, douchey crowd

Chicago Cut to me was just ok when I went. It's like every good steakhouse in NYC (Ben and Jacks, Delmonico, Spark's, Peter Lugers Primehouse etc).
Steakhouses to me are kind of a dull dinner spot. Give me tapas or Mediterranean any day of the week over steak

I'm the same way with steakhouses. They all run together after a while
They all buy the high end meat from the same few ranches
