I know Tsunami has the rooftop that overlooks our beautiful Mississippi but are there any other rooftop places with something pretty to look at or just some place in general that has a pretty view?

Houmas House or any of the plantations around where you can see the grounds, maybe?
Maybe once The Chimes finishes up its rooftop seating area, it might be nice on a fall day overlooking campus.
There might be a place north of town up through St. Francisville on some of the bluffs overlooking the river.
Is there a restaurant near the capitol that looks out over the grounds?
A second story cafe overlooking the botanical gardens would be nice but would likely fail miserably.
Baton Rouge might be tough because we have levees that block river views. Unless you're up in a building like Tsunami, you just get to see... Baton Rouge.

The grounds at this place are amazing. You will forget you are on La while walking around that place.

Thus the words "maybe" and "might". I was just spitballing.

I don’t know why you’re downvoted. Someone showed me a photo from up there and you can’t see anything over the trees. Not that it won’t be an awesome rooftop, but there won’t be much in the ways of views.

The Bluffs restaurant (The Palmer) does have an incredible view. It is a bit outside of the city though. And the food is nothing to rave over, but is not disappointing.

Is Camelot Club still around? Top of one of the towers downtown.

Go to false river and eat there
The Camelot club had a great view of baton rouge
When I was a young kid in the mid 60s...my older brother knew someone that worked at the state capital and we were able to go up to the observation deck at night...i will never forget the view of Exxon at night...

What’s the word on this anyway? It would be cool to go for a bit next Friday evening if it’s open.

Bump to see if anyone knows about the Chimes rooftop.

Chimes is reopened but the rooftop won’t be until well into football season, I believe.
