Best Rootbeer You've Ever Had

I used to absolutely despise root beer as a young child but now as I'm easing into adulthood, I'm starting to become obsessed with it. Abita was my go-to until I found Virgil's:
If you haven't tried it and you love root beer, give it a shot.
Anyone have any other brands they like?

Virgil's Root Beer contains cane sugar and a number of natural spices, including anise, licorice, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, sweet birch, molasses, nutmeg, pimento berry oil (allspice), balsam oil, cassia oil and citric acid. It does not contain caffeine. It has 42 grams of sugar per 12 U.S. fluid ounce serving. One 12-oz. longneck bottle has about 160 calories.

I LOVE root beer--not a big fan of Virgil's, and Abita is nice but a bit too sweet. Best ever for me is Sprecher, but it's hard to find: LINK

Wow, that stuff looks great. Looks like I'll be ordering root beer to the door step.

I'm a Barq's fan. Used to know someone that made the homemade kind that was super good.

I grew up on IBC. It's a damn good root beer. So is Barq's.

You've got to do yourself a favor and get at least a root beer made with cane sugar. Micro-brewed is hands down the best, though.

Frostop's root beer is hands down the best root beer out there. Too bad it's not sold in stores, stuff is amazing!

Barq's in the glass bottle>everything else
ETA: except the last sip

If you do order, make sure to try the cherry cola and the ginger ale. Damn, I wish I had a bottle of the ginger ale right now.

Fitz's from St. Louis is the only thing that compares to Abita for me. Frostop is good, but you have to go to a gross Frostop to get it.

Virgils. Although the one they brew at BJ's Brewhouse is quite good as well.

My favorite soda by far. Can't find anything here that stands out.

I like St. Arnold's Root Beer.

My local Publix and The Fresh Market have them. Whole Foods are in La., right? They should definitely have it.
