Who has the best ribs in Baton Rouge?
Not TJ Ribs.
TJ Ribs parboils them then wraps in foil to cook then tosses on grill at last minute. That's not right.
Parboiling and aluminum foil are not allowed in porkrib cooking.

voodoo has some decent ribs along with their brisket and pulled pork. i would rather Chill's ribs over TJ's. That place has fallen off in the last 10 years.

I've gone there twice now and it's blown dick both times.
The correct answer is the Chimes and I really don't like any of the other food there.

As a former resident of Memphis it pains me to say that Corky's sucks in Baton Rouge. For whatever reasons the ribs do not come close to those in Memphis. While Corky's is not the best BBQ in Memphis it uses the proper techniques to achieve decent flavor and texture. But in Baton Rouge, they can't get either the flavor or the texture right.

Corky's is so freakin' overrated. It wouldn't even be in the top 15 in memphis. As a Memphian, it pains me that this is the one Memphis franchise that has branched out to different states and cities. Granted the pulled pork is decent, but they put too much sauce on it. The ribs are, simply, not good.
The one thing at Corky's that is awesome, though, are their breaded drummies. If you have not tried them, I'd highly recommend it - they are addicting.

It's hard for me to narrow it down to three - how about my top 5 in no particular order: The BBQ Shop (#1 in my book); Central BBQ; Germantown Commissary; Interstate; Kozy Korner. Of course, this all personal opinion, but I'm pretty sure that, if you aks most folks around here, Corky's would not be in the top 5.
