Headed down to NOLA in a bit. Any recommendations for raw oysters close to CBD or FQ? There are more than a few places to get them. We were just curious if anyone could recommend a place other than ACME, Drago’s or Casemento’s (a bit further out) etc. We have a party at 7 so just wanted a few dozen oysters and a few drinks before.
On the way out tomorrow was thinking about swinging by Parkway for a “scrimp” poboy unless you guys/ gals have better suggestions.
As always, thanks in advance!

Felix's right across the street from Acme in the Quarter. 739 Iberville, open till 10 p.m. on Sundays.

Felix's is my go to. 7 would be tough, but hard to find a better spot than standing at their oyster bar, jiving with the shuckers, making your own cocktail sauce while drinking an ice cold brew.

Peche has the best hands down. Justine and Luke are good too.

Bourbon House - same price, better atmosphere and bourbon milk punches to drink with the oysters. Also, you can get raw or grilled, depending upon how you feel.

We ate at Peche today, but the Louisiana and Alabama oysters were excellent

Drago's gets the best quality oysters, but my favorite oyster bar is the Bourbon House.

Compare Lapin was offering those at some point, can’t confirm they still do though.
