My daughter is looking for a good spot to get a poboy in Baton Rouge for lunch. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Depends on what she’s looking for but I’ve always liked Dempseys French dip

Peacemaker at Acme

I've seen some others mention Jed's as being good but I've never had it

I like George's Southside. Their Shrimp Poboy is excellent but they're all really good.

was not impressed with JED and have never been back, maybe it's gotten better

George's has good poboys
Even poboy express makes a solid poboy

I haven' t been to Sammy's since their reorganization years ago

One of the best is Mike's Poboys in gonzales but they are only open Mon thru Fri

I thought the shrimp was really underwhelming, but the non-seafood options were very good.

Same. Live right by there. QC went down.
They re opened. Maybe I'll try it once more. But then again, it's probably $18 so probably not....

Are they back open? They were closed for several months.

Seafood Muff is a winner but their self-famed Roast Beef is not..bland as hell..the meat and gravy.

Anthony's has the best italian sandwiches, imo

Maxwells shrimp is very good. Not sure there is a better shrimp poboy in town.
