R&O's has the best roast beef po boy.
Their shrimp po boy is also amazing and their italian food is awesome. A lot of variety and old style New Orleans place without breaking the bank.

Surprised Domilises was mentioned so often, that ketchup they put on the point just ruins whatever else they might do. I'm do love the Atmos of domilise.

Radosta’s
The Radosta’s sold the place to someone else. I heard Don retired but Mark and Wayne are still there working. Will be interesting to see if the new owners change things or keep them the same.

I would removed Mahony’s and Domilises from the list. Used to love Domilises in the 80s and 90s but I’ve had too many mediocre poboys there in the past few years.
In West Metaire there a place called Come Back In that’ll be worth the trip. Good muffuletta too, and reasonably priced.

I like Johnny’s a lot. Used to work at the royal Orleans and we ate there almost every week

Yea, but it doesn’t quite have the “what you want honky?” vibe to it.
I was looking up at the menu one day and two ladies were standing behind the register…one of them asks what I want. I glanced down from the menu and started giving my order to one of the ladies and she immediately cuts me off with, “I didn’t say anything to you”. I just smiled and looked at the other lady to give my order. That gives me feels, I love NOLA for that.

That's how I felt about Parkway... then I realized that it all depends on what you order, which pretty much correlates to any poboy place. There are certain things they do well, and others not so well. The Bourdain special at Domilise's is top-notch, imo.
