You'll be better off not wasting your time and money at Rocco's, pastime or poor boy Lloyd's fwiw

I've always liked Rocco's on drusilla. All their other locations suck.

Nola has the Gumbo Shop & Coop's Place plus Sammy's Food Service & Jacques Imos when they have it as a special. No place in BR can touch a good Nola roast beef, hot sausage or shrimp poboy.

I hate the place and am sick of jambalaya, but aren't there multiple Jambalaya Shops in BR?
Didn't they start in BR or Hammond?

Somebody from GTown trying to trash talk BR? Come on my man! really?

I vote Dempsey's for Catfish. Theirs is the best in BR (not saying much) and the only flaw is that unlike in NOLA, you don't get enough of it.

Correct, that I knew. That however was not my question.
Their first Restaurant was in Hammond in the 90's was it not. I think they went to BR next.

I've always liked Jay's BBQ, but they do have some menu items that just aren't very good, so I can understand Jay's not getting much love on this board.

Mike Willie's on Cloverand (the old crawfish place) makes some tasty poboys, burgers, gumbo, etc. and I highly recommend them.

I quit going to Dempsey's (Coursey) because they can't get a to-go order correct and some dude wearing capri pants gave me a hard time on the phone when I tried to place a to-go order..Sad, because Dempsey's used to do a great job.

George's (G O'Neal) makes tasting poboys, but that place is such a nasty arse rat hole that I quit going awhile back. You go in George's for 5 minutes and your skin & clothes smell like stale grease.
