It was a girl. I don't remember her name. I'm horrible with names.

Just wondering. My daughter's boyfriend is a waiter there.

Cochodries has the best Blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich I have ever had. That thing makes my mouth feel good.

Best meal, hands down, in Denham is the schwarma salad or plate at Arzi's, corner of Range and Florida. Not a fancy dining place - may want to take out, but the food in incredible. Best kept secret in town! For sit-down dining, our DeAngelo's is standard, but good and Lagniappe is also very good.

1) Arzi's is about as secret as McDonald's.

2) Lagniappe is terrible. They have the largest menu I've ever seen but don't do one single thing well.

3) If you can get there try Taste of Louisiana. I don't know if they're open on Mondays though. It's in the Antique District and is as legit as it gets. I have never been disappointed.

D.S. has a few good places. Fernando's is very good. It is better than the one on Coursey. That location is an abomination.

La grange's is pretty decent most of the time. It isn't consistant, though.

Latienda is also a good Mexican spot.

I've been told that the Denham Patty is great, but I've never eaten there.

Sharp's used to be really good, but they closed due to the selling of drinks to under age people.

Hi-Ho BBQ is coming soon!!!!

I ate there 2 times and thought it was pretty crappy, good atmosphere though. I'm hoping another good restaurant will open up there.

I ate Cocodries yesterday. Food was good, however the Blackened Mahi Mahi didn't have as much blackened seasoning as last time. I will tell them to add extra blackened seasoning next time. After two visits, I have concluded that the Bass Pro restaurant is total crap. A friend of mine bit into a band-aid and that was the last time I ate there. Service is really bad. The waitresses there remind me of Waffle House at 3 in the morning. Avoid that place like the plague. It is decorated nicely though.

The problem I have with Cocodries is that there is never any variety, never a menu change. After a few years, it gets really boring to go there. The food is pretty consistent, but never changes. No new dishes - kinda takes the incentive out of going. Their pecan tilapia is usually wonderful, however. It is such a nice building and location. Too bad they can't generate a little more excitement with the food.
