Costco or Sam's - look for Prime if possible.

The Fresh Market on Perkins - I got one for Christmas last year and it was excellent - they had it all trimmed up, tied, and ready to go into the oven -

I do a 4 or 5 bone every thanksgiving on the smoker. Calandros and Alexanders are the best 2 in BR as far a grocery stores.
I'm trying to get a whole rack from my butcher but I'm not sure if I requested it in time.

Thanks for this thread. I may try this for Thanksgiving.
Would this be the same as buying the big cryovac pack of uncut ribeyes?

Would the snake method be appropriate for this cook?

Yes...don't overthink this. Get a well marbled choice whole ribeye, from Sams/Costco, trim a little of the thick fat, if applicable, season well with black pepper, salt, garlic and rosemary, start very high temp, 500 for 30 minutes for the char then, lower temp 250 to desired internal temp for rare, medium etc.
