Bread & Circus (Lafayette) is better than an Neapolitan style pizza that I've had in New Orleans.

Oak Oven in Harahan used to be just as good, but it's been a while since I've been.

Oak Oven is still a strong nea. Best cornicione in the game

I love Neopolitan pizza, but if I had to pick one pizza from the state to eat the rest of my life, it'd be the Pizza Alesi from Alesi's in Lafayette.

I haven’t even enough pizza around the state to say what the best is but I’m positive it isn’t Deano’s

Johnny’s will always have that nostalgia for me. They used to give out coupons for free 8” cheese pizzas for all A’s on your report card. We lived out in the parish, but my grandmother lived about a ten minute bike ride from the Johnny’s on Warren Ave. in West Monroe. I’d take my coupon and about $2 in quarters and could spend a whole afternoon in that game room.

After baseball games, Johnny’s.

Hey, let’s grab pizza on the way home from church on Wednesday nights, Johnny’s.

School fundraiser for the kids football team, Johnny’s.

I still get a 14” Sweep at least once a month.

Deano’s? Lol

They aren’t even the best pizza joint on K Saloom Road.

I agree Deano's shouldn't be mentioned as best in the state, but Pizza Village sucks more (unless there's someone else on K Saloom you are comparing them to)

Tower Of Pizza

It’s a decent pizza, but best in the state? Come on.

I haven’t eaten pizza out of the New Orleans area.

But a pepperoni pizza from Tower is hard to beat.

I’m going to try NOLA because what I’ve read about the dough.

I’ve always wondered why pizza places wouldn’t ship water in from New York.

Also many years ago New Orleans was rated the best scotch and water, because of our water!

So water does count. :)

My favorite chain pizza is Johnny’s. Always will be for the same reasons other posters have mentioned.

I don’t consider Johnny’s (chain pizza) in the same genre as specialty pizza places. My personal favorite pie is from Wildwood pizza in Alexandria. It is called “Hit the Quan” 86 chicken extra pepperoni. 10/10 easy.

Does NOLA pizza do slices or just whole pies

They do slices.

Allegedly always have slices available, but usually not a long wait for them.

Everyone has their opinion. Mine is this: after trying different pizzas at both locations, I will never waste my time nor money at Dean-O’s again. Period. It’s that bad. Honestly, Domino’s is better tasting.

Deano's is good and have great wings. Bread & Circus is my favorite and Pizza Village is gross.

Deano's will do if I need a pizza. However, I doubt they are anywhere near these best in the state. Hell, JJ's in Broussard is better. Pizza Village is not good.

Fleur de Lis Pizza in BR gets my vote

Somebody needs to get Dave Portnoy to Louisiana so he can review our pizza.
