Make my own with the following:

1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
3 1/2 Tsp. Baking Powder
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Sugar
1 1/4 Cups Milk
1 Egg
3 Tbsp. Melted Butter

Mix all ingredients and beat well. This is enough batter to make 4 large pancakes to fit in the bottom of a dinner plate. I usually add some fruit when making them like fresh blueberries or some apples cooked down in a bit of butter, cinnamon and brown sugar until the apples wilt.

1 cup AP flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 egg
2 tbsps vegetable oil or melted butter
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

This makes big fluffy pancakes if you use full fat buttermilk.

Aunt Jemima Buttermilk mix. Still have a box with the old Black lady on it.

It’s pancakes. Don’t overthink it.

50/50 Bisquick and Pioneer. I have no idea why mixing them is better than either, but it is.

I’ve never been able to find a pancake better than I can get at IHOP. I hate going there but those pancakes are better than any I’ve ever had. Not sure what they do but I wish I knew.

Pillsbury makes a food service pancake mix that is better than anything available in stores or Amazon. Every one of my kids, of which there are many, agree they are the best and they don’t agree on much.

The reason I asked is bc some boxes I’ve bought come out pretty cake like.

Thanks for the options tho!

I've been using this recipe for years. It is fantastic. I usually add a bit of vanilla extract. My kid lives them.

I have been adding vanilla yogurt to my pancake mix. Give it a try.
