In honor of my namesake, my grandmother's jambalaya sauce recipe, and with Thanksgiving being tomorrow, I was wondering what some of your favorite jambalaya sauce recipes are. Does your family do a mayo or tomato base? I know its a centuries-old debate, but how do you sauce your jambs?

it’s literally a 30 second old debate for myself. Never heard of this. Is your jamb dry? Why would you put anything (besides hot sauce) on your jamb?

If I was going to put any kind of "Jamb-Sauce" on my jambalaya it would be Bibimbap Sauce, that stuff is amazing.

Well according to ADAM BANKS, real Louisianians put mayonnaise and tomato sauce in their Jambalaya and us non-Louisianians from "Shreveport" frick it all up by not using "Sauces"!!!

This has got to be a troll attempt. Not that I wouldn’t put a sauce on my Jambalaya or atleast try it but I apparently am not alone in saying I’ve never heard of this.

I bet that sauce would be good on a jambalaya. Really in our family they differ pretty drastically depending on who’s house we’re tailgating at. G-Ma’s tended to be a mayo base (similar to ranch dressing) but it can really be whatever you like, just try one till you like it.

What? You mix it in very last after the jambalaya is cooked. Kicks it up a notch.

There is a lady that goes to the Dutchtown football games that puts ketchup on top of her jambalaya. After she eats that layer and the ketchup is gone, she goes back for more ketchup.

So she’d probably prefer a tomato-based sauce.

Grew up in New Orleans and never heard of this. I like tomatoes in my jambalaya so it turns out orange but never heard of sauce.
