Best Instant pot to get
OK thinking about finally getting one of these but not sure which one. Any recommendations? Just the wife, me and 6 year old daughter, but like to make extra so wife can take to work for lunch. Thanks for any info.

We have the 8qt which may be a little big for 2 of us, but it pays off when making stocks and what not. Made 5 lbs of rice in it recently and it worked great. I think it’s the 6 in 1. Wasn’t too worried about making yogurt. It’s the Instant Pot brand...

My post from November.

I have the 6 quart duo plus. Like it a lot.
I have never said it isn't big enough.
In hindsight, I wish I would have gotten the 8 though.

I've got the Instant Pot brand 8qt as well. Same with you, probably a little big for just two of us, but they make leftover containers for a reason.

Just bought a 6Qt Duo 2...... so far I've Cooked 2lbs of white beans, beef stroganoff and a beef shoulder roast in it. All of them came out great. We have a family 4 and its plenty big enough.

re: Best Instant pot to get
Mine's exactly middle of the road in size and features. The features are perfect; I'm not making yogurt or sterilizing stuff in mine, so I don't need to pay extra for those. I wish I'd gotten a larger size, though. Mine's 6 quarts and 8 would be much better. A 3 lb chuck roast will fit in mine, but it's a bit tight. I wish I had more room on the bottom to move the meat around while browning to make more fond.

If I could buy again, I'd definitely get the 8 quart with the feature set below the one that does yogurt and sanitizes things.

One factor in choosing 6 or 8 qt is the size of your kitchen and available storage space. The 8 takes up quite a bit more real estate.
