I’ve always liked ACME but I’m sure some people aren’t fans.

We just had some at Blue Crab last weekend that were stupid good. The oysters were beautiful. Did a dozen raw and a dozen charbroiled.

Katie’s in MidCity does great grilled oysters.

Drago’s for oysters by far are the best. The rest of their menu is meh! Have a few drinks at the bar with a couple of dozen oysters then head over to another restaurant for dinner.

Surprisingly Katie’s oysters are killer.

Drago’s are my favorite, by far. No others really come close.

I like them there as well

I've had good ones at Superior Seafood. Not sure how the rest of the food is there.

I had some good ones at the Royal House in the FQ. Don't know much about the other food, but the oysters were very good. It was pretty crowded when I was there and they do not take reservations, I don't believe.

Second Royal House. I've told people here about them for years. You'll probably have to sit at the bar tho. Small place, very crowded. It's the only place we eat charbroiled after finding them. Chat it up with shuckers, cool guys

Felix’s Restaurant across from ACME in the quarter is my favorite.

Is Drago’s downtown different than Drago’s Metairie? I’ve had oysters at Drago’s downtown and they didn’t live up to the hype.

Although they both have oysters, the menu overall differs at the Hilton. They run "special event" menus that are scaled down for busy FQ times.

Acme gets a bad rap for having become a bit “touristy”

However they do some things really well and oysters are at the top of the list.

I went to a place in DC called Old Ebbitt's and they did a cajun style charbroiled oyster I've never came across down here.

Everything the same as Drago's but with finely chopped tasso on the oyster. Amazing added a different flavor and made it more of a meal.

Locally I agree Drago's does it best everyone else is copying their style. Quarterview in metairie often has specials on grilled oysters on Wednesday I think
