Got a honey-do list a mile long this weekend, won’t have time to grill. What are y’all’s go-to game day crock pot recipes?

Cocktail Sausage is always a hit.

2 pounds of smoked sasuage or little smokies
18 oz. grape jelly
12 oz. chili sauce or bbq sauce

I love it with smoked sausage, but it kind of thick, maybe a little under a 1-inch cut. But little smokes work too.

You can add anything else you want really, but it's pretty good as is: mustard, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, pepper jelly, etc.

I had no idea that dish had so much jelly in it. I may have to cut back when I come across something like that.

I second the buffalo chicken dip. Grape Jelly/Chili Sauce Meatballs are always popular too.

Chicken and jars of salsa to make tacos

I've been doing this for lunch and throwing in 2 of the microwave rice pouches instead of eating on tortillas.

I just use a jar of jelly and a jar of chili sauce. I think the jelly jar is 10-12 oz. I copied that recipe from google.

Tamale Dip

Large can of tamales mashed like mashed potatoes (remove the husk of course)
Can Rotel (you decide the heat)
1/4 block Velveta
Stir several times as it heats. Add milk little at a time until you achieve a dip consistency

We make this in a small crockpot. Serve with corn chips or quarter and deep fry flour tortillas

Here’s a recipe that uses cream cheese instead velveta

4 oz of good cane syrup. Can of beer. 1 bottle of el yucateco hot sauce. Few tbl spoons yellow mustard.

As much cheap (non wrinkled?) manda sausage slices as you can fit.

Toss them in, dump everything but the beer on top. Use the beer to wash the seasoning down through them.

DO NOT USE THE MANDA HOT

I like spice, but the hot version will deatroy your stomach.

I absolutely hate the grape jelly weenies. Too sweet.

This is how we've made our cocktail weenies my entire life:

barbecue sauce
ketchup
brown sugar
Worcestershire sauce
garlic powder

Slice an onion or two, lay in a crockpot. Place a pork butt on top. I usually crosshatch the fat cap. No seasonings, nothing else added at this time.

I cook on low 8-10 hours. Remove pork to a sheet pan, shred and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, onion powder and some applewood rub.

Mix well, add some red wine vinegar, bbq sauce, or both. I typically use both, if I just want pulled pork I’ll put it in a 350 oven for 20 minutes or so, but I’ll usually put it under the broiler for a few minutes just to get some crispy edges.

It’ll never measure up to a butt smoked, but it’s still good.

Reading this reminds of a tamale soup my wife cooks. Uses Mickey Brown tamales. Its really good but really rich.

(1) 4 lb beef chuck roast
(1) sliced bell pepper
(1) sliced red onion
(1) jar of sliced jalapeños
(1) bottle of Guinness stout beer
1/2 cup worstershire sauce
1/3 cup vegetable oil
Salt, black pepper and garlic powder.

Cut roast into chunks and season heavily with salt, pepper and garlic powder then brown meat in oil in a cast iron pot. Once browned remove meat and place into crock pot on high with all other ingredients for 6 hours. Enjoy over cooked rice or on hoagie buns.
