In-N-Out fries, extra crispy.

Whataburger is a close second.

Checkers/Rally's always had good fries.

For as fantastic as In n Out's burgers are, their fries are very plain. You can order them Animal Style which I haven't tried yet.

The best fries are fried twice - makes them extra crispy.

I just finished a workout and have to pop into work for a few hours. I think I will stop on the way and get me a Single Double protein style.

My vote goes to. . . Wendy's

I used to really like theirs, now they are

I like the little shoestring style fried crisp, so Capital City Grill and J Alexander are probably 2 of the best nearby. And +1 on McDonald's when they cool off a little. Theirs used to be top-tier until they caved and changed the oil they fry in.

I definitely prefer skinon homemade fries over anything else.

Fast Food: Popeye's or Checkers

Checkers fries actually taste like they were fried in Popeyes old grease. In a good way.

I think Walk-On's has the best cheese fries and the best ranch.

La Boca in New Orleans. Boucherie and Three Muses are honorable mentions. I don't care for fast food much.

Ruth's Chris has really good fries.

Also, Pamplona in Lafayette probably has the best in town.
