Best fresh bakeries in New Orleans?

Taking the wife to New Orleans for Mother's Day weekend. She loves a fresh bakery.
We love the Croissant D'Or Patisserie in the Quarter, but would rather somewhere Uptown or CBD.
Thanks.

I prefer Ayu Bakehouse on Frenchman in the Marigny to either.
Breads on Oak is a decent choice if you want to go wayyy uptown, as well.

Flour Moon Bagels is ridiculously good. It’s Midcity though.

Second on Flour Moon for bagels.
Lagniappe Bakehouse has been killing over the last year. Highly recommend as I think it’s the best in the city and honestly it’s not close.

There's a Breads on Oak in the CBD on Carondelet. Definitely some special people hanging out in that block but that's never bothered me.

Lagniappe is getting many great reviews right now, but it isn't really that walkable of an area for other things to do. Better than waiting 30 minutes to order and get your food at Boulangerie
Bywater bakery is the other way and has a nice variety on the menu.

I like Angelo Bracoto on Carrollton. Not quite a “fresh bakery” but their pastries and cannoli are delicious. They put the cannoli together when you order . And you can get coffee while there if you want.

I second Ayu - it’s my favorite in town and usually easy to park in front or on Elysian Fields and walk the Marigny.
Also like Flour Moon a lot. There’s a new location uptown in the Hotel Henrietta. 3500 block of St Charles.

Ayu is my favorite.
You can get flour moon bagels at Hotel Henrietta with no line. Great bagels
