Doughnut Plant in NYC are on a totally different level, the best I've had by far.
I really like the owner, and I support him, but the donuts I had there realy weren't that good. I didn't care for some of the combinations. The apple pie donuts were wet on top and ruined the donut. I went when he first opened so maybe it's improved since then.
I also don't care for Blue Dot in NOLA. Too heavy. Donuts should be light and airy, not bricks.
I still think there's nothing better than a hot KK glazed donut, fresh off the conveyor belt. Actually got some today from the Plank location. Don't care for their other varieties though -- too cloyingly sweet.
Been wanting to try this place. Was closed the one time I went

Meche's on Guilbeau in Lafayette. Hot glazed right out of the fryer. Doesn't get any better IMO.
Meche's on Guilbeau seem to be a lot better than the Rue Louis location. They didn't even have milk the two last times I went.

Shipleys are the best doughnuts by far. Everything else is just average.

Port Allen bakery.
All the donuts are great but the blueberry cake donuts are on another level.

Both of them are there, but Jesse is the big wig now.
When was the last time you saw him?

to you for knowing what a good donut is. Mr Clearance loves my whole family. Knows who I am every time I walk in.

After spending multiple years of my life living in and eating donuts in Baton Rouge (Mary Lee), Lafayette (Meche's), and Houston (Shipley's) -- Mary Lee is hands-down my preference.
For cinnamon roll donuts Christy's Donuts in Houston is addicting.

The donut shop in Natchez. Do not care for Krispy Kreme at all. Haven't eaten many others

Donuts at Peoples Bakery in New Roads.
