Would love to hit Cattleack or Pecan Lodge but just staying overnight in the Farmers Branch area tonight and then catching an early flight in the morning. I know most of the good places are usually lunch until they sell out but is there anywhere decent for barbecue that I can get at night for dinner?

I haven't been to Terry Blacks in Deep Ellum, but I've had multiple friends say its really good and its open for dinner.

I like Lockhart’s. They serve an excellent smoked bird.

I believe Hard 8 does dinner, they at least they did before the Wuhan. They are in Coppell.

Great recommendation for Hard 8. They serve a great ribeye for a BBQ place.

Lockhart. They have locations in downtown Plano and Bishop Arts in Dallas. Probably equidistant from Farmer’s Branch. If you’re going tonight, they have burnt ends on Thursday.

But you should really change your flight and grab pecan lodge or cattleack for lunch before you leave.

Ended up going to the Hard Eight in Coppell. Definitely better than anything I can get back home.

I don’t go often enough living in Frisco and the closest one being in Grapevine, but the few times I’ve gone it’s been good.

Glad you enjoyed it. I I’ve only been to the Coppell location once, but the Stephenville location is the bomb.

That jalapeno and cheese sausage is the best I've had.

Went to a Tom Thumb to try that thing out (they are selling Terry Blacks at Tom Thumbs). Just got the chopped beef and was pretty happy with it. They are vacuum sealing and selling 2 lbs packages of turkey/brisket etc, along with sausages.

Going to the location will be better I'm sure but if you can get it sealed up and potentially freeze it for a rainy day is awesome
