Good question. Burgers are so ubiquitous here I think you would get alot of opinions.

I’m partial right now to the Squirrel Master burger at Cottonwood. Christian’s Tailgate is good.
I recently heard Rodeo Goat near BBVA Compass is supposed to be really good.

Hippo Burger is legit.
Pappas Burger is strong as is Petrol Station.
Other big names are Killens, Christians Tailgate, Hubcap, and The Burger Joint.
RIP Mockingbird Bistro, one of my favorite places in the city. They had a foie gras Burger that was truly excellent.
