Nothing great but the Falcon was decent. They only had 8 beers when I went

I think they could give Bmoney a keg of Falcon, a tshirt, sticker, and he still wouldn't call it a good beer.

I hope they do better

Brieux Carre had nothing appealing when we went. I'd give them another shot though. Cool place.

IMO Courtyard has it going on. Solid beer plus you'll always find other local beer too.

Frick yeezy, I knew he'd be in here to hate on local breweries, lol.

The fact that you named that long list and still left off one (Parleaux Brewery) and one about to open (Port Orleans Brewing) makes me happy of the progress the city has made in quality local options.

Honestly, I think you could quadruple the number of breweries in NOLA and you still wouldn't have a saturated market. You don't necessarily need the existing breweries to expand and brew more beer, you need more breweries brewing good beer.

Southern Craft is terrible

It's a shame how lacking the BR beer market is

We would have more breweries than poboy shops brah. That will never happen here.

BR really is, I went to the Southern Craft 1 year anniversary and left disappointed. I hoped to find one beer I could put in my rotation and I didn't. I love supporting locals but there is nothing I would pass up for a Southern Craft product.

Me too. I had a sampler last week and it seemed like they still have that new brewery taste. I enjoyed the ESB, APA, and weizen bock. Takes a little time to find your way in a new brewery. I remember Bearded Iris here in Nashville tasted like bleached butthole their first few months, but look at them now.

There should be. The craft beer market is much larger. How much do you spend on craft beer vs poboys?

I think NOLAs capacity is a lot bigger than you think. People are demanding more G&G and GitM. Not every brewery has to be Abita, or even Parish. What is the capacity of Courtyard? Not every brewery needs to distribute. You don't have to be big to make kick arse beer.

Courtyard is a buy on site, not sure how many barrels though. It is exceptional for the area imo

I respect your opinion but this ain't the Pacific NW.

Yeah that's a problem. Lots of shady politics down here brother. The distributors have the money that go in the pockets of the people who issue the permits.

Which is part of the problem, if InBev came and bought out Parish or Great Raft, other start up breweries would be screwed in my opinion. Yes it would be great to get Ghost, Grace and Grits, etc more often but it would harm these potential Brewers who may make great beer.

Second Line beer is not the best in town but the tap room setup is really great on a nice day. It's a beer garden style courtyard with a food truck. Very kid friendly.

That's the best part, Courtyard, Urban South, Second Line, and Bierre Carre are all kid/per friendly
