You can certainly drive less and hit numerous breweries in New Orleans, Port Orleans, Nola, Urban South, Second Line and others.
Northshore is Old Rail, Chafunkta and the one in Hammond.

Bayou Teche in Arnaudville is great. Hit up Little Big Cup before or after.

I am from Arnaudville, so quite biased, but many people say LA31 is the best atmosphere even though they may not have the cream of the crop beers. Techeticles is definitely one of my goto's when there though.

Of course. I've just had beer from basically every brewery in LA and I don't understand how they are in business. Well, I do.

Laffy is good. Stop by Parish and pick up some beer to go. Head over to Bayou Teche and have a blast at their taproom. Pizza is good as well.

If I were doing BR, I would hit up Cypress Coast, Gilla, and Le Chein. Little bit of drive between each but those are the best three. You could also pop in to Mid City beer garden after Cypress Coast.

The beer is fine, it isn't great or anything but Bayou Teche Brewery is so much more than just the beer. Fantastic area to hang out with live Cajun or Zydeco music and great food. There us plenty for kids and adults to do as well.
To the OP: if you goal is to hit a bunch going to New Orleans and hitting Parleaux, Briux Carre, and then going Miel, Courtyard, Nola, Port Orleans, Urban South, or Zony.

To be honest I'd rather drink mediocre beer and listen to zydeco music with like minded folks than drink better beer while listening to a bunch of neck beards talk about unsuccessful democratic policies and how everything has a hint of nutmeg.
