Headed down in a couple of weeks. Never been before, and was looking for some recommendations.

Salvos for their all your can eat boiled seafood specials. They get very busy during Lent on Fridays so plan accordingly.

The Dairy Dip for ice cream, shakes, and burgers. They have a pretty good menu. No indoor seating so best to take to go or eat outside on their covered tables.

Thanks. A lot of options are good. No telling what the family will be in the mood for.

When I was stationed at NAS New Orleans, we’d go to Salvo’s, Adams Catfish House and LA23 BBQ.

We’ve got a great bbq place by us the we frequent often, so I’m not sure if bbq would be on the menu. I saw on google the catfish place. However military guys know the good places to eat where ever they get stationed.

Going down for a volleyball tournament with my wife, 14/5 yo daughters. Gonna be a struggle within itself. Let alone finding a place to eat.

Thanks for all the suggestions!!

Asahi Sushi is pretty good if sushi is your thing.

And it's not a restaurant, but the Tea Bar in the same shopping strip is good for a drink and a snack.

LA23 is legit, wouldn't expect to get that level of brisket down there.

Salvo's is always a go to for me.

Never was wild about Adam's Catfish, a lot of people really like it though.

Dairy Dip hits the nostalgia for me, but can't replace Tops in Buras, miss that fricking place.

Bring a cooler and bring some stuffed chickens home from Gourmet Butcher Block.

These two places take me back to my childhood . We would go get Dairy Dip snowballs at Christmas when my cousins came to town.

Thanks for all the recs. I’m sure we’ll be able to find something between them.
