That was my first thought when glancing at the list. Just think back to even three or four years ago how this list would have looked.

Yup, now let's get some of these beers on the shelves. Of the top 10 I think I could go buy one of those beers right now.

I could buy two out of the whole list. Cocodrie and TR Coffee Porter.

This is the case with most top notch beers. They are either made in small batches (for many reasons including up front costs, difficulty acquiring ingredients, tank space, and yes even creating hype) or fly off shelves.

08. Abita - Macchiato
09. Abita - Bourbon Street Stout
10. Abita - Oyster Stout

And these and beers like them need to come back more often from Abita.

Not up here in good ole funroe. No Parish at all and NOLA is limited to Blond, Brown and Hopitoulas.

BT Cocodrie is too low, imo. I also haven't had any of those Abitas.

Are these draft only?

Might have to try these out. I was not a fan of Cocodrie though. Didn't taste like an IPA at all to me and not much hops. I think it was a Belgian IPA so it may just be the style for me.

I need to give this one another try along with some of the other BT mentioned in voting. I've yet to have a beer I liked by them and the Cocodrie I poured out the only time in tried it.

Miel Savage wasn't my thing, but Coteau Roudaire was really good. Cocodire is an Tripel IPA, so not supposed to be like an American IPA. Pilsner base with phenolic yeast characteristics and a heavy malt backbone.
