Myself, wife, and 18 month old are going to BSL for a Sunday-Wednesday in June. What are the best places to eat for all meals?

BBQ at The Shed is well worth the short drive. It's on the other side of I-10 at the Ocean Springs exit.

They're about to open a second location on Burbank in Baton Rouge.

Nah. There's enough decent places in and in the immediate vicinity of BSL that this makes basically no sense.

Then tell me where instead of shitting on this person's idea if you know so much.

We always enjoyed Tripanis for dinner. Triple tails has a really good bushwacker, if you into that (better than Florabama). Also hit up Serious Bread bakery for some awesome cookies and a giant garlicky naan/bread.

Thorny Oyster is the nicest and best

200 North Beach and Trapanis are both next door and are both good.

I don't have any great suggestions, I just know his is shite.

Hell, go to Yelp and pick the top 10 in Bay St. Louis and each of those places (having no idea what even comes up) would make more sense than his suggestion. Last place I ate in BSL was the Blind Tiger.

It's wholly mediocre, but it makes more sense to go eat there than to drive 45 miles to eat at the freaking Shed. You just as soon come eat in New Orleans.

You're welcome.

Thorny Oyster
Sycamore House
Fields

Those are the only places where a reservation is recommended, everywhere else you can just walk into.

Each place around does something well, get on here and ask specific questions when you’re over here.

Thorny oyster for anything seafood, Field's steakhouse right behind thorny oyster for steaks. Oysters were pretty good at fields as well

We just ate there last Friday on a return trip from Florida.
Group of 9 people from LA, MN, WI, and NC. Everyone enjoyed the food.
Much better than any BBQ I've had in the BR area.
I guess we don't have a clue when it comes to BBQ.

It’s not bad, there’s just no reason to drive that far. You could go get pho in New Orleans East quicker than that.

Their wings are good too. Smoked, then fried and sauced.
Cuz’s is alright, but their royal reds are great.

I didn’t realize they opened one in BSL. Is this recent? We visit Pass Christian 2-3 times a year and I’d rather drive to BSL than Gulfport to have decent bbq. As a side note I’ve always found the Murky Waters in Ocean Springs to be better and more consistent than the Gulfport location.

The food at the Shed is not nearly as bad as people on here make it out to
be. I doubt most of them have even been, and if so not in a long time. It's pretty good BBQ and an interesting enough place to make it worth a stop when passing thru. However I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. Murky Waters has a better product.

200 North Beach

Ate there last week for lunch and it was good.

I've heard great things about Sycamore House.
