The chicken and red beans at the gas station next to McDonald's at the exit north of Ellick used to be outstanding. Now it's a Y Not Stop or whatever those are called and it is quite mid. And no red beans.

This is it. The first time I ever ate a meat pie from a sit down restaurant was here and it blew my mind. You can get them frozen to go and they blow the ones in the green box from the grocery store out of the water. I usually try to get on and off of I-49 with as little time in between as possible but if the mood strikes for a stop, this is where I'll go.

Piccadilly and Luby's are good for wgat they are and have always been. Heck, you can't get better liver and onions than either and because it's liver and onions they double or more the pile of greatness at no cost. Been the same since the 70s.
