Since someone already mentioned Drusilla, I'll throw Cafe Americain out there. They have been open for 30 years...I can only say I've been once and that was 15 or so years ago.

Maybe it's just me but I don't consider it old school because I remember when that place opened (my parents live less than a mile from it)

Went to Louisiana to visit family this summer and remembered the place that I described in this thread. It was Jones Creek Cafe. I haven't been there in 30 years, but that was it and I loved the seafood salad. I'm sure much has changed since then.
